Academic Position in Nursing Education and Research

Collaborate with colleagues to develop novel research outcomes, maintaining deep discipline knowledge applied to inform course and unit design.

Build a national reputation based on a growing body of work recognised for quality, excellence, and impact.

  • Registered as a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in diabetes education.
  • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design and research supervision.

Senior Lecturer Responsibilities:

  • Lead unit and course teaching teams in UG and/or PG programs to improve the student learning experience and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality research, scholarship, and creative activities generating impactful outputs.
  • Integrate industry, clinical, and/or research practice into unit/course design and contribute to the adoption of new innovations in curriculum design.

To succeed in this role, you'll require:

  • Registration as a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in diabetes education.
  • Strong track record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design and research supervision.
  • National recognition for research reputation underpinned by publications in quality journals.
  • Engagement with research, community, industry, and government to enhance the national standing of the discipline.
