Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Holistic Midwife to join our team at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Birth Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive midwifery care to women and their families during pregnancy, labour, and birth.

About the Role

The Holistic Midwife will work in a team environment, caring for low-to-moderate risk pregnant women, and providing antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to person-centred care, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality midwifery care to women and their families
  • Work closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each client
  • Conduct regular assessments and monitoring to ensure optimal health outcomes
  • Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to achieve seamless transitions of care

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated commitment to person-centred care and NSW Health Core Values
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) is highly desirable
  • The ability to participate in a seven-day roster
