Lead Academic Strategist

The Lead Academic Strategist will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of vocational education and training in South Australia.

This key leadership position requires an experienced leader to oversee the development and implementation of academic frameworks, ensuring seamless alignment with educational strategy and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Envision and articulate a compelling future for vocational education, formulating clear goals and leading your team toward success.
  • Human Resource Management: Implement human resource management policies and strategies to foster a productive working environment.
  • Future Focussed: Support the design of learning programs for current and future knowledge and skills needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality education by implementing assessment and evaluation strategies.
  • Industry and Community Relations: Develop relationships with industries and government agencies to position as leaders in learning.
  • Equal Employment and Education Opportunity: Provide direction and leadership to ensure principles of equal employment and education opportunity are applied.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Academic Qualifications: An undergraduate degree in Adult or Vocational Education and a Diploma in Management (AQF5) or equivalent.
  • Strategic and People Leadership: Proven experience in leading a large team, educational operations management, and strong financial acumen.
