Solutions Architect for Data Science and AI

As a Solutions Architect for Data Science and AI, you will collaborate with clients on short to medium term engagements to address their ML & AI challenges using the Databricks Data Intelligent platform.

Your key responsibilities will include providing data science and cloud technology projects that require integrating with client systems, training, and other technical tasks to help customers derive maximum value from their data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop impactful data science and machine learning use cases including building solution architecture, MLOps frameworks, MVPs, and production-grade applications.
  • Guide strategic customers in implementing transformational data science and Generative AI projects, including end-to-end design, build, and deployment of industry-leading AI applications.
  • Consult on ML architecture and design; bootstrap or implement strategic customer projects leading to a customer's successful understanding, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks.
  • Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
  • Collaborate with the Databricks technical team, project manager, architect, and customer team to ensure technical components meet customer needs.
  • Work with engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and guide rapid resolution for engagement-specific product and support issues.
About the Role
  • Experience in customer-facing post-sales technical architecture or consulting roles.
  • ML Engineer: Develop and maintain production-grade cloud infrastructure supporting deployment of ML applications.
  • Data Scientist: Experience with latest techniques in machine learning and Generative AI processing including vector databases, fine-tuning LLMs, and deploying LLMs with tools such as HuggingFace, Langchain, and OpenAI.
  • Comfortable writing code in Python or Scala.
  • Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines.
  • Documentation and white-boarding skills.
  • Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
  • Build skills in technical areas supporting deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to complete customer projects.
  • Travel to customers 20 - 30% of the time.
  • Nice to have: Databricks Certification.
