The role of a Companionship and Caregiving Specialist is to provide support and care to individuals in need, promoting their overall well-being and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personal care services including assistance with showering, toileting, and feeding.
- Use hoisting equipment (training provided) to ensure safe transfers.
- Apply manual handling techniques for transferring clients from bed to shower or commode.
- Provide social support and companionship to enhance the client's emotional and mental well-being.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with complex needs.
- Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent qualification.
- Availability during weekdays and weekends.
- Recommendation to hold a Covid-19 vaccine.
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
- NDIS Workers Check.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
