Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Project Overview

We are seeking a seasoned project engineer to lead the mechanical and rotating plant elements of a landmark program.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the design, oversee delivery, and ensure technical excellence on a project that will underpin Australia's energy transition for decades to come.

No two days will look the same, but your role will be about leading the engineering effort across design and delivery:

  • Reviewing and managing design packages from external design houses, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with performance standards.
  • Acting as the interface between multiple design and delivery partners, resolving issues and driving alignment.
  • Getting hands-on in technical matters, from vibration analysis to commissioning planning, while also managing governance and reporting.
  • Challenging OEMs and contractors to deliver the right outcomes, driving innovation and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinating internal teams (construction, procurement, asset management) to keep the project moving.
  • Visiting project sites during construction and commissioning phases to ensure successful implementation.
About the Role

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success. Your expertise will help shape the project's technical direction and ensure smooth delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a track record of delivering large-scale projects.

A background in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably with experience in rotating equipment, is highly regarded.
