Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Lead to join our team at our project site in Queensland. As a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanics in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of Caterpillar equipment on our mobile fleet in the field and workshop areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of mechanics in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of Caterpillar equipment
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with the shift supervisor to ensure seamless operations
  • Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Trade Qualification
  • Experience working on Caterpillar or similar Mining Equipment
  • Sound knowledge in Hydraulic, pneumatic, and drivetrain systems
  • Good people and time management skills
  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space HRWL preferred
  • Dogging licence
  • Ability to meet all site access requirements including Coal Board medical and Standard 11 where required
  • HR Drivers licence highly regarded
