The City of Mandurah Recreation Centres is on the lookout for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Swim School team at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre.
We seek candidates who have a passion for working with children and are committed to delivering high-quality Learn-to-Swim programs for infants aged 6 months to 4 years and older, all within a safe, welcoming, and professional setting.
Essential qualifications and skills include:
- AUSTSWIM or equivalent teaching certifications or Royal Life Saving Society Teachers (RLSS) Certificate
- AUSTSWIM or equivalent qualification in Infant Aquatics (Desirable)
- Prior experience in swim instruction or teaching
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- RLSS Resuscitation Certificate
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate (must hold or be willing to obtain)
- Current RLSS Bronze Medallion (must hold or be willing to obtain)
- Recent National Police Clearance (less than 6 months) and Working with Children's Check (or willingness to obtain)
Availability for weekday morning and afternoon shifts, as well as weekend morning shifts, is required.
Compensation includes part-time rates of $36.05 per hour and casual rates of $43.26 per hour, based on qualifications and experience, plus applicable weekend loadings.
