Bupa Templestowe is a modern care home located 20km north-west of Melbourne's central business district, surrounded by scenic parklands and the Yarra River. Our care home consists of four communities, each with its own Clinical Care Manager and Registered Nurse, providing personalized care and attention to our residents.

About the Role:

As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for providing our residents with excellent culinary services, including meal preparation, presentation, and serving. You will also be required to maintain a clean and safe dining area, adhering to legislated food hygiene and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with basic food preparation
  • Provide meals and snacks
  • Clear dining areas and perform dishwashing duties
  • Adhere to legislated food hygiene and safety practices
  • Perform ad-hoc support tasks as required, including laundry and cleaning

Requirements:

  • Cert III Hospitality (highly regarded)
  • Aged care experience (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes
  • Flexible availability for varied shifts throughout the week
