About the Role:

As an Industrial Officer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for pursuing the interests of members through strong leadership and advocacy.

  • Advocacy, representation and negotiation of cases before industrial and other tribunals
  • Providing individual support for members through caseload management
  • Providing high level industrial advice to support the work of the organising team

Recent graduates and experienced Industrial Officers are encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time ongoing position based in Adelaide, however flexible work arrangements can be discussed.

  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret and navigate complex information and formulate a strategy to achieve the best possible outcome for our member
  • Technical Knowledge or Experience: A knowledge and understanding of the SA industrial relations legislation and industrial instruments relevant to the SA Public Sector, or a demonstrated capacity to acquire that knowledge quickly

Experience in industrial relations or law is helpful, but not essential. We encourage applicants with skills and experience in advocacy, community engagement or human resources to apply.

  • Tribunal Representation: Experience representing clients in industrial and other tribunals
