About the Role

This is a key position within our person-centred approach, focusing on the enhancement of the psychological, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical well-being of our residents.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join our team at St Basil's Homes NSW/ACT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Recreation Activities: Coordinate and administer the Leisure and Lifestyle team to deliver recreation activities to our residents, supporting them to maintain their physical, intellectual, emotional, cultural, and social well-being.
  • Assessments and Reviews: Conduct assessments, reviews, and ongoing evaluations of the lifestyle program to ensure positive client outcomes and support ongoing education and improvements in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Program Development: Encourage our clients to attend and engage in our numerous programs specifically created to meet the needs of our residents.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure: Hold a Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure or working towards (or equivalent).
  • Leadership Experience: Have experience in leading lifestyle activities and teams to deliver quality programs in a multicultural aged care organisation.
  • Lifestyle Care Planning: Possess a strong ability to develop lifestyle care plans and knowledge of Aged Care National Quality Standards.
  • Collaboration and Independence: Be able to work collaboratively within a team and have the confidence to work independently.
