About the Role

Ventia, in partnership with the Australian Defence Force, is seeking a skilled Front of House team member to join the Defence Science and Technology (DST) Café team. As a key member of the team, you will provide exceptional customer service, operate point of sale systems, and prepare food and beverages to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the kitchen and cafeteria areas for service, ensuring a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer care, responding to customer requests in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Operate the Barista machine to produce high-quality beverages.
  • Monitor stock levels and re-stock items as required throughout the shift.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista is essential.
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage high volumes of coffee orders while maintaining quality.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment.
  • Proficient in cash handling and operating EFTPOS systems.
  • Solid understanding of Food Safety Standards and relevant legislation.
  • Valid Australian driver's licence.
