About the Role
The Senior Risk and Compliance Officer, Investments will provide risk and compliance advice and oversight to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and effective governance of investment activities. As a senior leader within the Group Risk team, this role will drive risk and compliance embedment and maturity, fostering a strong risk culture, governance, and practices across the investments business.
This role will support the Chief Risk Officer and involve working with executives, senior leaders, and other stakeholders within the Investments team. You will lead, develop, and drive strategies to influence executive and senior leaders to embed and foster risk and compliance culture and practices within the organization while providing strategic and sustainable risk and compliance advice and support to the Investments business and 1st line risk/compliance teams.
You will oversee and monitor adherence to the enterprise risk and compliance framework and applicable regulatory obligations, undertaking cyclical risk management activities for the Investments business, including quarterly material risk assessments and KRI evaluations.
To be successful, you will have:
- Proven deep experience in risk and compliance management, strategy, and business advisory in superannuation or funds management industries.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory obligations applicable to investment activities in Australia, including investment risk modelling, methodologies, and analytics.
- Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to build trust, credibility, and influence with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
