Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect, Data Analytics, Federal Government Contract to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to meet business needs focused on data and analytics using a combination of on-prem and Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, Azure DevOps, and.Net applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and document all solution architecture design and analysis work.
  • Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determine corresponding enterprise solution designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
  • Analyze the business-IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and propose stage-wise solutions for improvement.
  • Lead evaluation, design, and analysis for the implementation of a solution architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements, and enterprise standards.
  • Implement technology solutions to meet business needs.
  • Provide support to application architects within agile teams to ensure the project or product is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Design and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring solutions architecture assurance and compliance.
  • Create definitions for Minimum-Viable-Products to demonstrate value to senior-level executives.
  • Develop solution options in collaboration with business and technology subject matter experts, including total cost of ownership effort and resource estimates for the implementation and maintenance of solutions.
Requirements
  • Data savvy with knowledge of various aspects of technology architecture.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience designing and implementing solutions to meet business needs focused but not limited to the data and analytics domain using a combination of on-prem and Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, Azure DevOps, and.Net applications.
  • Proven ability to engage with business and technology stakeholders to develop and document business requirements and design and implement technology solutions to meet business needs.
  • Network Infrastructure: Knowledge of OSI model and the communication protocols that operate at each layer of the stack.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions that meet with ISM requirements and best industry practice, including developing System Security and System Risk Management Plans in collaboration with cyber security subject matter experts.
  • Security: Understanding encryption, in transit, and at rest and testing for vulnerabilities in a systems design.
  • Cloud/Hybrid/On-Premises Infrastructure: Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms with knowledge of compute, storage, identity & access management, governance, and networking services.
  • Database Administration or Design: Knowledge of SQL and data vault/data warehouse/data lake solutions.
  • Software Design & Development: Ability to formulate a high-level solution from a set of business requirements, architectural drivers, and design constraints while presenting trade-offs between solution options.
  • Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies, such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping, and incremental development.
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and information technology infrastructure library (ITIL).
  • Proven analytical, planning, organizational, and technical skills.

  • Skilled at negotiating with stakeholders from different IT functions and proposing solution designs that are practical in the short-term with a clear plan to achieve future-state business capabilities.
  • Apt at quickly comprehending the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
