Job Summary:
- Maintain constant surveillance of patrons at the public pool, adhering to Royal Life Saving's Keep Watch initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the pool area is well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
- Implement emergency action plans and provide first aid when necessary.
- Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain children under 5 within arm's reach of a parent or guardian at all times.
Requirements:
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
- Working with Children Check (if over 18).
- Commitment to WHS procedures and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bronze Medallion.
- Class C Drivers Licence.
- Aqua Aerobics Certification.
- Certificate III in Fitness.
- Austswim Learn to Swim Course qualifications.
- Certificate III in Aquatics (SIS30110).
- Chemical Handling course.
- Previous experience in a public pool setting.
As a Casual Lifeguard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and care of our community. This opportunity offers a flexible working environment and ongoing learning and development possibilities.
Selected candidates will undergo pre-employment screening, including medical checks, reference verification, driving and qualification assessments, NSW Police Checks, Working with Children Checks, and proof of right to work in Australia.
Compensation: Hourly rate between $19.79 and $41.45, depending on age, skills, qualifications, and experience. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and public holidays.
