Job Overview

A pharmacy assistant or technician is required to work in a hospital environment.

  • Dispense medications under supervision for hospital inpatients and outpatients.
  • Assist customers with general queries, including liaising with hospital staff.
  • Replenish stock and assist in maintaining inventory levels both in pharmacy and in the hospital.
  • Participate in medication delivery rounds to hospital wards.
  • Process orders.
  • Assist the pharmacy teams with other ad-hoc pharmaceutical duties.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Be committed to providing patient-centred care.
  • Have experience dispensing medication in an Australian based pharmacy.
  • Be able to address patient needs with confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism.
