About the Role
The Rail Services division at Mader Group is actively searching for skilled Mechanical Technicians to join our workshop teams. These positions will involve collaboration with our esteemed workshop supervisors, contributing to a dynamic group of Rail and Rollingstock experts across various locations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing breakdown diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Executing installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Conducting component diagnostics and replacements
- Working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Carrying out structural assessments and repairs
- Maintaining Hi Rail equipment as necessary
- Complying with industry standards and safety regulations on-site

Qualifications & Skills:
- Trade certification as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, or Fitter Machinist, or a WA A Grade Electrical License
- Experience with locomotives or wagons is a plus
- Possession of a High-Risk License (Forklift, Rigging, Working at Heights, etc.)
- A strong commitment to safety practices
