About the Role

The Early Childhood Educator Advanced will work collaboratively with children and their families to create a nurturing environment that fosters holistic development and addresses the unique needs of each child. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing high-quality education and care programs aligned with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Building strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and family engagement.
  • Removing access barriers to quality early years learning by providing transportation services and ensuring all children have equal opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Meet individual child and family education and care targets through regular monitoring and evaluation.
  • Provide high-quality, intent-based early years care and education that is tailored to each child's needs and aligned with ATSICHS values.
  • Document and record learning progress, observations, and program improvements to inform future learning activities.
  • Demonstrate positive engagement with children's families, connecting the classroom to their home environment.
  • Remove access barriers and provide equal opportunities for all children to attend a quality early learning service.

Requirements
  • Diploma of Children's Services
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an early education setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the developmental stages for children 0-5 years of age
  • Demonstrated knowledge of holistic approaches to working with children
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Framework and its implications
Desirable but Not Mandatory
  • Transport experience in an early childhood setting
