About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Resources and Materials Engineering Business Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking site inspections, investigations, and scoping of projects. You will also be involved in study phases, including concept designs for process and non-process infrastructure, and will be responsible for detailed structural analysis and design for new infrastructure as well as remedial works or improvements to existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Undertake site inspections, investigations, and scoping of projects to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Contribute to the development of GHD's knowledge and skills in structural engineering, including planning, design, and construction.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the delivery of innovative and effective solutions.

Requirements

  1. Degree qualified Structural or Civil Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the design of steel and concrete structures.
  2. Proven experience with Space Gass, Strand7, and ANSYS analysis software, with a strong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
