Waste Operations Technical Specialist

Western Downs Regional Council is seeking a Waste Operations Technical Officer to provide operational and technical support to the Waste Operations team. This includes the facilitation of the operation of all facilities in a cost-effective manner, to assist with on-ground service delivery activities, and to develop and implement continuous improvements to Council's waste operations.
Key Responsibilities- Interacting with customers when interacting on site and when following up compliance issues;
- Monitoring site footage for compliance and waste levy verification purposes;
- Delivering community information and assistance for new sites as commissioned or planned for expansion;
- Undertaking compliance activities in accordance with relevant legislation and audit requirements;
- Providing and analyzing levy data, including volumetric surveys, material movements between RRA and Leviable Area;
A person in this position will need to hold a relevant qualification in Business Administration or in a related field, or be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have a Current QLD 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
This role is full-time, working 36.25 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO.
