The Position:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Rosebud workshop. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fleet.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of vehicle safety and reliability
- Perform routine services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake servicing
- Conduct preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with our buses
- Test drive vehicles to identify mechanical problems
- Carry out minor to major engine repairs
Essential Criteria:
- A Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)
- A completed 4-year apprenticeship or relevant experience
- Previous experience working with trucks or buses
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Capacity to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
- Strong emphasis on workplace safety
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- A valid MR or HR licence (not essential)

- A competitive salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
