About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead the successful implementation of the Yanco Delta Wind Farm Project, a critical new infrastructure project that will support our Generation portfolio with an expected 1500MW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the project through the ECI process to FID, then construction, commissioning, and handover to Operations.
  • Build a team to drive the project to a successful outcome and work collaboratively with matrix staff across Origin.
  • Develop and implement a safety-first culture on site, setting HSE behaviours and leading by example.
  • Drive a focused commercial perspective, including an outward focus, awareness of delivery cycle times, and professional completion of work products.
  • Inspire confidence and urgency within the group and across the Business Unit for the delivery of timely, high-quality service to internal and external customers.
  • Manage the end-to-end cost, schedule, risk & opportunity, and quality assurance from development initiation through construction and handover to Operations, with a capital expenditure of over $4B.
  • Manage the interface; this project will be a split contract arrangement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial requirements, developing, implementing, and operating budgets for activities relevant to the role.
  • Lead development of tender and contract packages to support regulatory framework.
What We're Looking For
  • Management and leadership of significant capital projects of similar scope and complexity.
  • Experience delivering projects as Project Director for Tier 1 contractors and international owner-organisations.
  • Previous experience delivering a Wind project.
  • Demonstrated experience (15+ years) in construction Project leadership roles.
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management and/or related Engineering discipline.
  • Deep knowledge of Project Management and Construction management systems and principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present written reports and presentations to a high standard.
