CNC Machinist Trainee

Job Summary:

Macro Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and skilled CNC Operator Apprentice to join our team in a dynamic engineering company based in Melbourne's South East. As a CNC Operator Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to develop high-quality precision-engineered parts for diverse industries, with a focus on the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Input setup instructions into CNC machines, load the material to be shaped, and prepare the tools, such as setting the starting point.
• Begin the machining process, keep an eye on it, and make any necessary adjustments, like changing tools or moving the material.
• Take out the finished piece, clean up any debris, and do any final touches needed.
• Check that the piece meets the required quality standards.
• Report any problems to the Production Manager and send approved pieces to the next step in the process.
• Perform basic maintenance like oiling parts or replacing worn-out tools.
