Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Officer to join our team in Western Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee data, compensation, and tax information, in a secure and confidential manner.
- Prepare and review payroll reports and summaries for management, highlighting any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Review, verify, and process accounts payable vendor invoices and payment requests, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Reconcile accounts payable vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain and update the accounts payable ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Perform ad-hoc administrative duties as required, supporting the team and contributing to the smooth operation of the business.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field, such as accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in payroll and accounts payable functions, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
- Previous exposure to the construction industry is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of the sector's specific requirements and challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
