Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Lead to drive the operational performance of our branch in NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing staff, contractors, and fleet operations, ensuring compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Oversee staff, owner drivers, and the branch's fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are maintained and compliant with regulations.
  • Coach and mentor the team to ensure they meet operational KPIs and safety standards.
  • Champion safety initiatives and investigate incidents to build a safety-first culture within the team.
  • Manage the branch's profit and loss (P&L), focusing on cost control, financial performance, and operational results.
  • Oversee workshop and fleet maintenance activities, coordinating with third-party contractors to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Skills:
  • Prior experience in managing operational teams within the logistics industry.
  • Understanding of fleet management and vehicle maintenance, with the ability to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Skilled in overseeing complex branch operations and ensuring all activities align with safety and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage a P&L, driving financial performance while overseeing operational costs and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage with staff, contractors, and senior management.
