About the Role

The Clinical Assessor will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of medical claims reviews, working closely with healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure that patients receive appropriate and cost-effective treatments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver accurate, timely, and efficient clinical assessments of all claims managed by the team
  • Ensure considerate, professional, and empathetic communication with customers, healthcare practitioners, and other Bupa teams and stakeholders
  • Act within established guidelines and procedures, completing phone calls and answering queries from providers and other areas of the business requiring clinical assessment
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process and functional improvements that support the review process
  • Assure legal and regulatory compliance and adhere to internal operating procedures
  • Work in accordance with Bupa Australia's Health and Safety policy, applying safe working practices and procedures and complying with all instructions given about ensuring health and safety at work
  • Other duties as directed by Team Leader, Medical Advisor, or Management
