Equity Settlements Specialist

CMC Markets is a global leader in CFD trading and share investing.

This role offers the opportunity to deepen your knowledge across the full spectrum of equity settlements, CHESS operations, and corporate actions while taking on genuine leadership responsibilities.

You will be responsible for mentoring junior team members, driving process improvements, and becoming the go-to expert for complex settlement challenges.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure CHESS compliance and manage broker transfers, conversions, settlements, and trade monitoring with precision.
  • Own and execute complex actions like takeovers and buybacks, safeguarding client interests.
  • Lead testing and implementation of ASX/CHESS and GBST upgrades to boost operational efficiency.
  • Mentor junior staff, refine procedures, and drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have solid stockbroking industry experience with equity and options processing, combined with practical knowledge of ASX rules and CHESS compliance requirements.

You will also need to have confidence working with various stakeholders and interfaces, and approach complex problems methodically, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Full permanent working rights in Australia are essential.
