**Job Overview**

The Media and Communications Branch is seeking a skilled Communications Officer to contribute to the implementation of strategies and opportunities to raise awareness amongst internal and external audiences.

This is a key role in developing and maintaining communication tools that appeal to a range of stakeholders. As a Communications Officer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with staff to actively seek support and advice from the Media and Communications Branch and positively represent and advocate for SALHN.

To be successful in this role, you will need tertiary qualifications or experience in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field, as well as proven high-level writing skills and ability to produce user-friendly communication that is clear, concise and accurate.

  • Proven high-level writing skills and ability to produce user-friendly communication that is clear, concise and accurate
  • Ability to evaluate information quickly, critically, and accurately, grasp the core of complex or ambiguous problems and analyze and summarize key issues
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse and challenging groups
  • Experience in researching, analyzing, and coordinating information and data and preparing concise, relevant, and timely briefings, written advice and reports
