**Job Title:** Motor Mechanic
We're seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to deliver exceptional automotive repair services at Geelong Service & Roadworthy Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of petrol engines and various vehicle mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on systems like engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues with efficiency.
- Repair and replace vehicle components such as belts, hoses, and filters.
- Handle routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
- Deliver excellent customer service by clearly explaining repair needs and recommendations.
- Maintain detailed records of completed work, parts used, and labor time.
- Comply with all safety standards and regulations within the workshop.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure high-quality service and timely delivery.
Requirements:
- A trade qualification of Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of petrol engines and various vehicle mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
