**Job Title:** Motor Mechanic

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to deliver exceptional automotive repair services at Geelong Service & Roadworthy Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of petrol engines and various vehicle mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on systems like engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues with efficiency.
  • Repair and replace vehicle components such as belts, hoses, and filters.
  • Handle routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by clearly explaining repair needs and recommendations.
  • Maintain detailed records of completed work, parts used, and labor time.
  • Comply with all safety standards and regulations within the workshop.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure high-quality service and timely delivery.

Requirements:

  • A trade qualification of Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of petrol engines and various vehicle mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
