We are seeking a Senior Cost Estimator who will lead our Australian estimating team in Sydney. This position will have a core focus on generating specialised estimation services for our Industrial clients, as well as for our clients in Water, Power, Defence, and Buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exposure to a wide range of projects across various industries
  • Collaboration with experienced estimators to build and develop our specialist Australian team
  • Impact the quality of project delivery by ensuring robust estimation practices are followed across the team
  • Building capability while supporting a range of global projects

About You:

This role would suit a degree-qualified Engineer or Quantity Surveyor with experience in an applied environment, typically within the construction sector. We expect you to be highly organised with outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and drive successful project outcomes for the business and our clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering estimates and understanding costs forming a total project cost – including direct costs, indirects, escalation, growth, and contingency
  • Understanding of general construction methodologies
  • Experience on site and understanding prevailing market trends, construction costs, management of variations, and implementation contracts and risk mitigations
  • Ability to provide technical advice around estimating while embracing teamwork culture
  • Familiarity with different classes of estimate (AACE Class 1 to AACE Class 5) and their associated expected level of accuracy, estimating methodology, and end usage

Competitive Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
