Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Engagement Coordinator to join our team at the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery. As a key member of our cultural services team, you will play a vital role in developing engaging programs and events that inspire diverse audiences on the Fraser Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement public programs, including artist talks, workshops, and performances, in collaboration with the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery and community stakeholders.
  • Coordinate education bookings and provide opportunities for diverse audiences to engage with the exhibition program.
  • Develop promotional materials and strategically engage with local and national audiences to raise the profile of the gallery.

Requirements:

  • AQF level 5 or above in gallery or arts administration/management, and/or previous equivalent experience within the arts and cultural sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in event coordination and promotion within a cultural/arts context or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including appreciation for cultural diversity and proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, audiences, and collaborators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience producing content for digital marketing contexts.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, manage projects within budget, prioritize workload, and effectively perform all duties on time.
  • Must be a team player and have a proven ability to work collaboratively as a team member to achieve shared goals and outcomes.
