Senior Mobile Software Professional

**Job Title:**

We are seeking a seasoned mobile software professional to join our Connected Propositions Core Tech team.

This role will involve demonstrating best practice and partnering with feature teams to identify opportunities for mobile innovation, enhanced user experiences, and next-generation mobile solutions.

The successful candidate will be capable of designing end-to-end solutions and providing feedback on others' solution designs to ensure they meet operational needs.

They will work within a scrum team environment, actively collaborating with and assisting other members of the mobile team in successfully completing their activities while maintaining high standards of code quality and architectural compliance.

1. Work within a scrum team, coding, analysing, designing, and supporting the existing Connected Propositions mobile application and feature teams.
2. Participate in identifying process and system improvements for the mobile teams particularly in the native iOS Swift domain.
3. Actively collaborate with and assist other members of the mobile team in successfully completing their activities including some level of mentoring and training and at times leading development activities.
4. Provide analysis and be a SME to teams to assist in feature estimations for changes to Connected Propositions mobile application.
5. Participate in mobile scrum team ceremonies such daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
6. Undertake system analysis, solution and technical design activities with high-quality documentation and realistic work estimates as the end-deliverables.
7. Ensure that proposed technical design complies with the application architectural principles. Undertake coding activities that comply with any design specification or feature criteria, using judgement and communication skills to alter where appropriate.
8. Undertake manual and automated test activities as per agreed unit test coverage and ensure that artefacts are available to satisfy any audit compliance.
9. Ensure that application deliverables comply with the quality requirements defined by the Quality Assurance area.
10. Keep abreast of industry 'best practice' methods in mobile app and general iOS Swift development.
11. Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and technical team in requirement analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of mobile solutions.
12. Act as an advisor for other mobile developers by providing support and coaching of other team members to ensure team goals are achieved. Ensure that proposed technical design complies with the application architectural principles.

1. Tertiary qualification in an IT discipline at degree level.
2. At least 4 years of experience in iOS native Swift Technologies.
3. Strong proficiency in Swift programming language and iOS development frameworks.
4. Experience with mobile development using languages such as Objective C, Java, Kotlin or .NET Xamarin highly regarded.
5. REST Services and Azure knowledge and experience highly regarded.
6. Good understanding of mobile application architecture principles and design patterns.
7. Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
8. Strong influencing and collaboration skills required.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
10. Demonstrated ability to work within various team structures to deliver business outcomes.
11. Ability to think strategically and innovatively and interpret insights into actions.
