Job Summary

The role of Staff Specialist in Obstetric and Gynecology services at JPS Medical involves delivering comprehensive care to inpatient and ambulatory patients. This includes participating in educational activities, such as undergraduate and postgraduate education, vocational training, and supervision.

Requirements

  • Eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Completed not less than the equivalent of six years of full-time service in medical practice as a Staff Specialist
  • Demonstrated recognition as a professional leader in the field
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments

Remuneration Package

  • Staff Specialist Clinician SMO1.1 - SMO1.6 $240,445 - $293,843 (including salary $207,165 - $253,495)

About the Facility

JPS Medical is a Tertiary and level 3 Teaching Hospital with nearly 400 beds and a dedicated staff of approximately 1,700 individuals. The hospital extends its services to a population of 200,000, encompassing urban communities, regional hospitals, and remote Aboriginal communities. In affiliation with Flinders University, it hosts an onsite Medical School and holds ACEM accreditation as a major referral center, offering a two-year advanced emergency training program.
