We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Registrar to join our Critical Care Unit team. As a Medical Registrar, you will provide onsite medical care to patients in our Critical Care Unit, working alongside a supportive team of specialists and nurses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to all aspects of clinical care, under the medical specialists and the Director of Critical Care.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessment on all admissions into the Critical Care Unit.
  • Attend patient rounds.
  • Perform necessary procedures as required, including PIVC, CVC, PICC, and arterial cannulation.
  • Manage a mechanically ventilated patient, competent in intubation and airway management, and assist with procedural sedation in the unit when required.
About the Facility

Our dynamic regional hospital is a private facility equipped with 120 beds, dedicated to acute care in surgical and medical services. The Critical Care Unit has undergone expansion, providing a state-of-the-art environment for patient care.

Requirements
  • A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  • Current General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Previous post-graduate acute/critical care experience (mandatory).
  • Procedural skills including advanced life support (adult & paediatric), arterial line insertion, central line insertion (CVC & PICC).
  • Medical knowledge of the pathophysiology & management of a wide variety of critical illnesses and conditions.
  • Clinical knowledge of cardiac & acute coronary syndrome management.
