Senior Lecturer in Nursing

About this role:
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking a senior lecturer to undertake a wide range of teaching and research programs in nursing, midwifery, and related fields. The successful candidate will contribute to the school's research reputation, engage with hospital partners, and publish in leading journals.
- Lead course coordination and curriculum design
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses using innovative methodologies
- Mentor staff in curriculum development and delivery
- Conduct high-impact research and publishing
- Build a strong research culture within the university
- Supervise HDR, honours, and postgraduate students
- Secure research funding
- Engage in knowledge transfer locally and nationally
- Represent the discipline externally
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- PhD or equivalent accreditation
- Proven effectiveness in curriculum development and teaching excellence
- Leadership experience at course or research group level
- Supervision of students at various levels
- Strong research publication record
- Excellent communication skills
- Teamwork and staff management experience
Desirable:
A recent clinical experience in adult settings would be advantageous. A Graduate Certificate in Higher Education or equivalent would also be beneficial.
