Resident Boarding Tutor Position Overview

This live-in position is an exciting opportunity to support the well-being and academic success of adolescent girls in a boarding environment.

The Resident Boarding Tutor will play a key role in providing pastoral care, academic support, and general routine assistance to the girls under their supervision.

The successful applicant must have a genuine desire to work with this age group and possess excellent communication skills to relate effectively with students and their carers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing tutoring services to students (Years 6-12) on a regular basis during school term time. Experience in Mathematics and Science subjects is beneficial, but all subject areas will be considered.
  • Assisting House Supervisors with overnight duties from 10:00 pm – 7:00 am four nights per week.
  • Participating in rostered paid extra work to assist with early wake-up calls, supervising boarders on outings, and organizing activities.
  • Supporting the nighttime operation of the residence assigned to their accommodation.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A Paid Blue Card or eligibility to apply for one prior to appointment.
  • Registration on the Anglican Church's Professional Standards Register.
  • A commitment to upholding the Anglican ethos and Code of Conduct of St Hilda's School.
