Role Overview

This is a challenging role that requires technical expertise and problem-solving skills. As a Communication & Control Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining Operation Technology Systems, including equipment such as network switches, PLCs, CCTV cameras, access control, passenger information equipment, radio, workstations, and servers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain client systems, including continual improvement of Preventative Maintenance procedures
  • Update, upgrade, or install Operational Technology (OT) systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults
  • Configure OT Network
  • Audit client systems
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call roster ~ 1 week a month
  • Perform ~1 week of night shifts every quarter
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Sound communication skills, including concise verbal skills and the ability to write short technical reports
  • Proven ability to give and receive feedback to facilitate personal growth and team development
  • Previous experience with OT systems, CCTV systems, Audio Systems, Radio Systems, and Network (Cisco)
  • Previous Data and/or Fibre Cabling Experience (training will be provided if not already obtained)
  • Demonstrated experience and/or ability to learn new technologies
  • Customer-focused attitude and strong collaboration skills
