Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and patient individual to join our team as a Homework Support Volunteer. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of the Homework Club. Your responsibilities will include supervising students, supporting volunteer tutors, liaising with parents, and performing general office duties.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare the tutoring site settings
  2. Ensure students and tutors sign in and out correctly
  3. Liaise with parents to provide support and updates
  4. Supervise students and support volunteer tutors as required
  5. Support the Homework Club Coordinator as needed
  6. Assist in gathering forms and general administration duties

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Friendly and genuine interest in supporting young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds
  • Patient and adaptable approach to working with diverse students
  • Understanding of structural barriers impacting young people's learning and engagement
  • Strong verbal and written English skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Valid Working with Children Check
