Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the drafting team with preparing, completing, and updating drawings as per client requests.
  • Draft tender and contract drawings for appointments.
  • Familiarise yourself with the Building Code of Australia and apply this knowledge to drawings, ensuring compliance with developer guidelines, local council, and energy rating requirements.
  • Support the drafting team with enquiries from customers, suppliers, planning authorities, and internal departments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Formal qualifications in residential drafting (highly desirable).
  • A drive to become a Production Draftsperson with residential building experience.
  • Capability in reading and producing working drawings.
  • Basic understanding of the residential home building and construction process.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD software and BCA/Planning and Design Code.
  • Good analytical skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills - able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, working well under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication skills who can work autonomously and within a team to achieve set targets and KPIs.
  • A high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks.
