Job Title: Naval Architect - Asset Lifecycle Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our team as an Asset Lifecycle Engineer. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of asset management analyses and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct system reviews for enhancements of designated systems, covering operational data assessment, trends, failure analysis, maintenance efficiency assessment, technical risk assessments, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct single-domain technical investigations and analysis for problem assessment/resolution, including recommendations for improvements.
  • Conduct initial assessment and oversight of engineering change activities for designated systems.
  • Contribute to process improvement within the engineering lifecycle to deliver continuous improvements.
  • Act as Technical Authority in the appropriate class/speciality when authorised to do so.
  • Contribute to accurate and appropriate technical documentation records being securely developed and maintained.
  • Provide satisfactory engineering advice in area of technical or operational expertise and experience.

About You:

You possess an accredited bachelor's degree in either Naval Architecture or Structural Engineering recognized under the Washington Accord. You qualify for Professional Engineer category Membership through a recognized body and as a member of a relevant engineering body, you are actively working towards achieving chartered status and are committed to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

Your expertise extends to a deep understanding of Asset Management principles and their practical application, coupled with a thorough grasp of Integrated Logistics Support methodologies, including LSA, LORA, and LCC Analysis. Additionally, you bring a strong foundation in Total Cost of Ownership principles and are adept in Systems Engineering processes.

The estimated salary for this position is AU$140,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
