The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in mental health triage and assessment, enabling timely person-centred care coordination.
About the Role- Mental Health Triage and Assessment: Lead frontline assessments for individuals navigating mental health concerns.
- Rural Emergency Care: Deliver telehealth assessments via the Northern Mental Health Emergency Care – Rural Access Program (NMHEC – RAP).
- First Responder Program: Support police and ambulance services with community mental health triage through real-time telehealth consultations.
- Incoming Referrals: Manage and process referrals across the Hunter New England Mental Health service.
To ensure success in this pivotal role, we provide comprehensive orientation and continuous training to help you thrive in a dynamic environment.
About YouWe seek an individual who possesses:
- Strong clinical expertise in mental health triage and assessment.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly in fast-paced situations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- A passion for improving access to quality mental health services, especially in rural and remote communities.
The successful applicant will hold a relevant qualification such as Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or Counselling, ensuring eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association/provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
