The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Senior Project Engineer to join our Seven Hills-based Rail Operations hub in New South Wales.

Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O'Rourke, focusing on the self-delivery of all aspects of rail construction, including track, overhead wires, civil work, and electrical systems. You will work closely with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across New South Wales.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for tracking costs and managing subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels are essential for this role.
  • Your skill set should include both pre-delivery and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
  • You will provide leadership and direction to direct reports as well as interface with design management and construction delivery teams.
  • You must uphold and promote the highest Health and Safety standards.

About You

  • You will have experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects in rail and associated infrastructure, ideally in a tier 1 setting. Leadership skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • A degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or construction management is required, along with experience working on major infrastructure projects, utility relocations, and stakeholder management.
