Android Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team at Randstad Digital. As an Android Developer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of Android mobile applications, working closely with business and IT teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and code Android applications, ensuring robustness and scalability.
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, guiding them in best practices for Android development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Advocate for Agile methodologies, Lean, and Design Thinking principles to enhance development processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of applications throughout their lifecycle.

Technical Skills and Expertise:

  • Strong experience with Java and Android development.
  • Hands-on expertise with the Android SDK, Samsung SDK, and Android Studio.
  • Proficient in working with remote data via REST and JSON.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs integration.
  • Skilled in using GIT, Stash, and Confluence for version control and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity.
  • Ability to script Gradle builds.
  • Knowledge of automated testing suites, including unit tests, automated UI testing (mobile), HP Fortify, and static code analysis.

Contract Details:

  • Initial 6-month contract with a high likelihood of 12-month extensions.
  • Possibility to transition into a permanent role if interested.
  • Relocation to Gold Coast required.
