Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced workshop assistant to help with the sales and repair of rigid inflatable boats. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to be part of the assembly process for new boats.

This role involves keeping the workshop and job sites clean and organized, assisting other staff members in cleaning, preparation, and delivery of new boats, performing general workshop tasks and duties, including marine craft repairs and maintenance, communicating effectively with customers and boat owners, and managing tasks within required time frames.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Keeping the workshop and job sites clean and organized.
  • Assisting other staff members in cleaning, preparation, and delivery of new boats.
  • Performing general workshop tasks and duties, including marine craft repairs and maintenance.
  • Communicating effectively with customers and boat owners.
  • Managing tasks within required time frames.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
  • Fork Lift License (desirable), Clean driving license (essential), Police Clearance (essential).

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience: Previous workshop and trade assist experience, Marine industry experience.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Marine craft repairs and maintenance, General workshop tasks and duties, Ability to clearly communicate with others, Computer literate.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time Hours: 24 per week.
  • Shift Length: 8 hour shift.
