Field Services Technician

We are seeking a skilled technician to deliver on-the-ground IT support at a remote coal mine site in Queensland.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in infrastructure technology analysis and problem-solving, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and technical support.

Key responsibilities include providing expert technical support, assisting in the implementation of infrastructure projects, and collaborating with the team to improve infrastructure efficiency.

  • Infrastructure Technology:Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting various hardware and software systems.
  • Networking:Understanding of network setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Operating Systems:Familiarity with different operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Remote Support Tools:Experience with remote desktop applications and other tools used for providing off-site support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically, 5+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis.
  • Proficiencies in data analysis and problem-solving.

Roster and Work Conditions:

  • 7/7 FIFO roster from Brisbane.
  • 12-hour shifts; day shift primarily with occasional after-hours or on-call support.
  • Flights, accommodation, meals, and local transport provided.
