Senior Aquatic Ecologist Role Summary

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior-Aquatic Ecologist to lead our aquatic environmental services team in Perth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering projects from proposal preparation to report writing and mentoring junior ecologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership in aquatic environmental services.
  • Conduct laboratory work, including sorting, enumeration, identification, and sample preparation.
  • Design, lead, and contribute to freshwater environment projects.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports.
  • Lead aquatic/water quality fieldwork in remote areas.
Requirements:
  • A relevant bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience as an aquatic ecologist, biologist, zoologist, or water quality specialist.
  • Excellent data analysis skills using uni- and multivariate techniques.
  • Project management experience, including budgeting and client liaison.
  • A valid driver's licence is essential.
