About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dealership Accountant to join our Warwick Farm team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will oversee day-to-day and month-end accounting across several franchises, supervise one Assistant Accountant, and provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day and month-end accounting across several franchises
- Supervise one Assistant Accountant
- Prepare and analyse profit and loss statements for multiple franchises
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Preparation and assistance with monthly Business Activity Statement
- Responsibility for maintaining and submitting financial reporting to manufacturers
- Mentor and manage workflows for an Assistant Accountant
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant in the automotive industry, preferably with experience with automotive accounting software such as Pentana. Advanced skills in Excel are essential, as well as a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organisational and time management skills, and a willingness to learn and continuously develop your skills are also required.
