About the Role

The Safety and Environmental Advisor is a critical position within Mineral Resources, responsible for ensuring site compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in daily pre-start safety awareness meetings and weekly toolbox meetings to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and evaluate work procedures and environments to identify areas for improvement and implement effective controls.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and maintain site-specific safety management plans, including training and training exercises.
  • Conduct formal alcohol and drug testing on site, as required.
  • Review and update site-specific safety management plans to ensure they remain effective and compliant.
  • Conduct site-specific inductions and training for new employees and contractors.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Professional qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (Cert IV or higher).
  • A current Australian C Class driver's license.
  • A current Apply First Aid Certificate.
  • An auditing certificate.
  • ICAM Investigations certification.
