Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our Resources Hub team, specializing in the pursuit and delivery of key opportunities within the new energy and resources sector. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for working alongside Engineers to provide project delivery, design management, and project management services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support studies from clients in new energy and resources, including assessments, development, and delivery phases.
  • Collaborate with commercial, project management, engineering, and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver, and operate projects.
  • Develop a Jacobs offering that leverages our existing multi-disciplinary capability, providing a unique value proposition for clients.
  • Identify gaps in our existing offering and assist in articulating and recruiting to fill these gaps.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary engineering degree and demonstrated professional experience within the resources sector.
  • Robust knowledge of international and local engineering methods, applicable codes, and specifications associated with resources projects.
  • Experience with various aspects of the planning, design, and commissioning processes, construction methods, and interface requirements of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Solid knowledge of planning, study, detailed design, commissioning, and close-out resources and/or new energy projects, with sound knowledge of current design standards.
  • Familiar with the delivery methodology, including initiation, development, and delivery phases, and the specific requirements and levels of accuracy as well as design maturity required at each delivery gate for resources and/or new energy clients.
  • Experience and demonstrated track record of successfully delivering studies for resources and/or new energy key clients.
  • Experience in delivering EPC and/or EPCM projects (not essential but held in high regard).
