Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetist to join our team at Central Queensland's largest hospital in Rockhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre- and peri-operative anaesthetic care of patients and will contribute to the management of patients in the High Dependency Unit and in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality anaesthetic care to patients
  • Supervise and train junior medical staff
  • Contribute to the management of patients in the High Dependency Unit and in emergency situations
About the Facility:

Our 305-bed hospital is a major referral hospital for Central Queensland, providing public health services to a growing population of approximately 250,000 people. The hospital has four operating theatres and two procedure rooms, an 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)/High Dependency Unit (HDU), and is accredited for specialist training.

Requirements:
  • Hold the FANZCA or postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthetics that meet ANZCA requirements
  • NZ FANZCA or IMG with training assessed by ANZCA and a substantially comparable outcome
